Pattern Cat - Black Chalk

Steps

Project Idea: Pattern Cat - Black Chalk

  1. Draw a cat head, body, and tail with pencil on Strathmore® Black Chalk paper as shown.

  2. Add facial features and trace the entire cat and its features with a chalk marker.

  3. Divide the cat’s body into a series of squares and rectangles and trace with a chalk marker.

  4. Fill the squares and rectangles with as many different patterns and stripes as you like, then ll in with a variety of colors.

  5. Add some stars in the background and ll them with color. 

Materials Needed:

• black chalk paper
• pencil
• opaque, colored chalk markers

Age Range:

8 and up
