Visual Journaling is a place where the artist's creative process can flourish. Here's the story of our Visual Journals, which have become a popular choice among artists to play and express themselves on paper.
In 2010, Visual Journals were developed in response to artist insight and feedback. While conducting research, we discovered that the papers and formats of journals were not holding up to the challenges of artists. People were looking for something that could hold up to heavy-duty use with a variety of mediums.
We responded by engineering a new type of journal. Strathmore Visual journals provide artists with greater freedom of expression by delivering high-performing papers, specific to the application, in book format appropriate for journaling.
The Inside Story...
Traditional journals do not offer the range of paper types and weights needed to handle the rigors of mixed media artwork. Our Visual Journals focus on what's inside, offering a full range of paper types and weights requested by artists themselves.
Heavy-Duty Features
But, we didn't stop at the paper. Our books feature heavy-duty covers with wire binding that is thicker and stronger than traditional wire. The binding allows the journal to lie flat and open up 360 degrees, making them easier to work in.
