Color psychology suggests our mood can be impacted by different colors, each supposedly having a unique effect based on an individual’s personal experiences and culture.

PSYCHOLOGY OF THE COLOR GREEN:

Green is the color most prevalent in nature. Each shade of green can carry a different meaning and evoke a different type of reaction. Common associations with the color green include:

• Growth and Renewal:
  Green is one of the most dominant colors in nature, symbolizing growth, abundance, renewal and life. In the spring, green grass returns and leaves grow on the trees once again, evoking an energizing sense of refreshment.
  
  

• Balance and Calm:
  Green is at the center of the color spectrum, representing balance. Green in nature indicates the presence of water, which subconsciously reassures us on a basic human instinct level and tells us there is little risk of famine. People often decorate their offices and homes with plants and touches of green to bring in the natural world and a sense of balance and calm. The color green can help alleviate anxiety and depression and can elicit a sense of hope.

• Environmentally Friendly:
  The word 'green' itself is often used to represent environmentally friendly products and reassure consumers that 'green' products are healthy and better for us and the environment. • Luck
  Green carries different meanings in different cultures. Green is the national color of Ireland and is associated with luck (4-leafed clovers, leprechauns, St. Patrick's day).

  The color green can represent wealth, prosperity and ambition, but on the negative side, greed, because green is often associated with money.
  
  
• Envy
  The color green can represent jealousy, as noted by the expression "green with envy", or "bitten by the green-eyed monster". Villains in Superhero Fiction are often depicted in green because of their envious and greedy traits: The Green Goblin, Poison Ivy, Dr. Doom, Joker, The Riddler, Loki, Brainiac, Mysterio, Vulture.
